With Crosby, you're ignoring the fact that the NHL is ridiculously bad at marketing - especially when it comes to their stars. You can absolutely make a ton off endorsements here.

But it's never been done.. so I'm not sure if you can be absolute here. We have a baseball team too.. that's won championships. Did Roger Clemons or Roberto Alomar make a crap load of money in endorsements? What about Josh Donaldson?

I mean Jose Bautista was repping Booster Juice. But I don't think he was making anything crazy. Don't see any of these guys in Forbes.

That's ridiculous. Lowry got mainstream endorsements that he never would have sniffed in the US - like with banks (BMO), which is extremely rare for pro athletes. This should be one of the bigger selling points for Kawhi. That, and possibly the tighter linkages into international markets via Canada.

Actually it could be really easy. You can market him as the quiet star. The theme would be "actions speak louder than words" or "let your play do the talking". You could even have period piece commercials done up like a silent movie to have fun with some of them.
