You think bucks aren't going to slip and go on a losing streak or something? There are many reasons to try golf rangefinders now.

This pretty much explains it all here
https://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/...st-contenders/
Bucks have two more game left than the Raptors and are a game ahead in the standings with one more home game. That could be the difference right there.
But they also have 5 back to backs left vs 2 for the Raps and 6 Western conf games vs 3 for the Raps....over they play teams with a .472 winning percentage vs .450 for the Raps. So the schedule favours the Raptors but they're starting out back a game and 2 less games to play.
In any event, I think it all comes down to more of how the Raps gel/integrate the new guys and play up to their potential. The playoffs are a different animal and any of the Buck, Raps, Sixers and Celtics could emerge from the East. The best you can do is arrive healthy, at a high level and give youself the most favourable route possible through the madness.

Load management, FTW.

With elite teams, it's losses that matter (and conversely with tanking teams it's wins that matter), not games in the standings. Bucks have 2 fewer losses than us, plus they have the tie-breaker. They'll have to lose 3 more games than we do for us to catch them.
As for resting Giannis, they beat us the one game he didn't play, so resting him against the Cavs or Hawks isn't going to make as much difference as it may appear to some.If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Which makes sense, they are just a pile of shooters without him. And in the two wins, they shot over 40% from 3, in the two losses 32% and 17% from 3. Basically a coin toss team in those games.

If Giannis plays most of the games they'll probably keep that #1 seed.

As for the Raptors, I only see one game where we won't be Vegas favourites (barring injuries) - the game in OKC. So there's that.If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

No game is a coin toss against the Cavs and Hawks, obviously.

I don't think this year's team is all that focused on the top seed. If our own playoff history is any indication then it's more important on focus on peaking in time for the playoffs than to get the top seed. We already know we have the talent to beat both Bucks and Boston, just have to be playing well if/when we get to those match-up's

76ers All-Star Joel Embiid will be re-evaluated in one week, experiencing left knee soreness. He will undergo treatment involving physical therapy and load management.

The best case is the we keep second seed and pacers find a way to stay were they are in the standings. I know everyone expects pacers to fall but i'm not to sure they play hard and have good coaching. wes matthews will be able to go into oladipos role. If Joel's embiid knees cause him to sit some games down the strech that could take some wins away from them. As for the celtics they have looked good then looked bad for streches. they also playoff seasoned so will most likely rest guys down the final weeks of the season. Pacers are gonna be looking to avoid the 4-5 seed at all cost. I dont think its unbelievable to think they can hold on. If bucks, celtics, sixers are on the opposite side of our bracket we should absolutey take that scenario even if it mean no home court if the bucks make the ECFTo be the champs you got to beat the champs
