• The Toronto Raptors continue a three-game homestand Wednesday by hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors are the only NBA team that is slated to play five of their first six games this season at home (Oct. 17-26).
• Toronto is an NBA-best 4-0 following Monday’s 127-106 victory over Charlotte. The Raptors need one more win to match the best start in franchise history. Toronto began the 2015-16 campaign by winning five straight games. The franchise record for consecutive home wins to start a season is also five, which happened in 2014-15 and 2003-04.
• Toronto has won 14 straight home games against Minnesota - a franchise-record for consecutive games against a single opponent at home. The last time Toronto lost at home to Minnesota was Jan . 21, 2004.
• Kyle Lowry needs five steals to match Doug Christie as the franchise leader in career steals. In seven seasons with Toronto, Lowry has recorded 659 steals in 759 games, including a career-best 158 steals during the 2015-16 season. Christie recorded 664 steals over five season with the Raptors (1995-00).
• Kawhi Leonard recorded consecutive double-doubles to open the season Oct. 17-19. Leonard became just the third player in franchise history to post a double-double in their first two games with the Raptors;joining Damon Stoudamire (1995) and Kevin Wills (1999). Stoudamire started his career with three straight double-doubles.
• Toronto’s 52 three-pointers through four games ranks second in the NBA this season. It’s the most threepointers the Raptors have made through three games in team history, topping the 44 the team made last
year. Kyle Lowry leads the team with 15 three-pointers made, followed by Danny Green (12) and Kawhi Leonard (7).
• The Raptors reached the 50-win plateau for the third straight season in 2017-18, ending the year with a franchise record 59 victories. Toronto finished as the top seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time
in team history and captured its fourth Atlantic Division title in the past five seasons.
• Toronto named Nick Nurse as the team’s ninth head coach in franchise history June 14 after spending the past five seasons as an assistant coach with the club. Nurse joined the Raptors in 2013 and helped construct an offensive system that ranked in the NBA’s top 10 in three of five seasons. During the 2017-18 campaign, the Raptors set franchise records for points per game (111.7) and three-pointers made (968).
• Nick Nurse became the fifth coach in franchise history to win his first game; joining Brendan Malone
