Last season again. We always play them well for 3 quarters and just couldn't close.
Poetl also was always the best big against them or BEBE.
I think this is one of those games where JV doesn't see much of the floor. Only time he plays is in the finals against boogie.
I think Monroe may play a part tonight but we will see.
We should win but I wanted to play them at their best. Our schedule is so much better this year. We always played them on the send game of a back to back. The back to back was typically against cleveland too.If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

But if it's a night where you don't want to play Jonas, it's a night where you REALLY don't want to play Moose. Moose is just a worse version of JV. Why would you ever play him over JV given the option? Like the one big weakness in JV's game (defending PnR in space with shooting PGs and shooting bigs) is also the biggest weakness in Moose's game, that saw him get played off the floor in the playoffs last year.
I agree with you that there's no reason to limit JV's minutes in this one. I agree with starting Ibaka to get your most switchable defensive unit out there against Klay and KD, but there's no reason for JV to get any fewer minutes than his typical workload on nights where he doesn't start.
