    Sounds like a health question best left to her doctor. Seriously, it could be any number of benign or serious issues.

    You can't get "massive muscular" legs from a stationary bike unless the resistance was off the charts.

Just think calories in, calories out (CICO, in fitness talk). Fewer calories in through diet choices, more calories out through exercise. Pick the calorie burning exercise that makes the most sense for your lifestyle... it's not like you need to exercise the legs specifically to burn leg fat. if you don't have much time, skip cycling and do something really intensive to burn more faster. If just getting on the bike for a while watching TV or listening to audio makes sense for you, do that.
        Wasn't there a recent study that showed CICO isn't entirely accurate? Was put on a keto-type diet a while back. Lost weight, even though I cheated by eating a lot more than I should have, but only meat/veggies/fats.
        If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

          If you have too much of a deficit you won’t lose fat for a while. Your body will go into survival mode and store fat because it thinks it has lost its source of food. There are lots of factors that can affect the CICO idea but the basic premise is true. If you don’t eat enough protein then you’ll burn muscle not fat. If you eliminate carbs supposedly you can put your body in ketosis and it burns fat as energy instead of carbs but that isn’t particularly healthy IMO, and probably not sustainable either.

            Yeah, the sustainability is the hard part. Too many delicious carbs around.

                        Sounds like a genetic predisposition to carry extra fat on the legs or she just has extra large muscles there. If her arms aren't big around, but her legs are, it is likely just her natural shape.

                          • Exercise and carb reduced diet will definitely help provide more definition which always looks better. A winning combo under any circumstance.

                            It was Linda Hamilton, in her reprise role as Sarah Connor in Terminator 2, that started the popular acceptance of "women with muscles" and next thing you know the gyms were full of women lifting more than 5 pound dumbbells and showing off arms with bicep and triceps muscles actually visible.
