First and foremost get the win. But it would be sweet to see Kawhi and Kawhi jr do what they can to stop his streak of 30 pt games

So looking forward to this game. We have one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and his partner that have done a wicked job in the past shutting down Harden in the playoffs.

Yet Harden is on some type of god-like streak that nobody has ever seen before since Wilt Chamberlain.

Will be quite the clash. If we can get James into a sub 30 score that would be fucking awesome.

A win should be easy though. We have the talent up and down the roster to beat that team quite easily even if we are on the road.
The odds of holding Harden to under 30 are roughly .... zero
He's going to get his, stop the rest

Wouldn't it be super impressive though if they stuck Kawhi on him and he crushed this historical streak Harden is on?

OG did a phenomenal job on him last year.

I don't understand why teams don't just double team the Beard and leave Tucker, Faried or Rivers open.

Yep. Kinda like focusing curry to have to drive inside and keep him from shooting 3... Raps did that in GS and worked beautifully.

Double team beard man and force him to have to pass the ball.

Crap. This doesn't look good. Kawhi bought a house in San Diego for $13.3M

Demar owns a big house in LA and Kyle owns a big house in Philly... they need to live somewhere in the off season as no athlete (besides maybe hockey) live in Toronto year round.

If anything it may be a good sign since he cant drive from SD to LA and vice versa for every game and practice... if he bought in LA I would be more worried, San Diego not so much.

It would be super impressive. Arguably the games best offensive player vs " " " defensive player...but I suspect he wont get that duty until crunch time

Have a relentless combination of Green-Kawhi-OG sprinkled with some Siakam go at the beard. Two of them at a time. All game long. Tire him out on every possession, even if he scores or they have to foul him. Then when he's on his defensive end, attack him there at every opportunity to tire him even more.

Don't let him prance around bringing the ball across the timeline, make him work for it. Double often and early. All game long. OG and Kawhi should be, as Jack says it, fresh as Daisies. Play him physical. They'll call every little ticky-tacky on Harden, but if they do that, they'll have to call it on Kawhi too as he muscles his way inside.

Or give every call to Harden an nothing to Kawhi. Where have you ever seen it written that the NBA has to even out star fouls lol

It's nothing to do with "even out star fouls" is about maintaining the consistency of what's being called within a specific game. For every player. There games where the whistle is loose, and games where the whistle is tight. Players and coaches have learned to read how each particular game is called and adjust accordingly. You gonna have some officiating blunders every now and then but for the most part the team that's being aggressive and taking inside will get the calls, especially if feathery ticky-tacky calls are also being called on the other end.

Hey I agree with what you're saying in theory
But it sounds like it was written by thre NBA and not what's actually seen on the floor by virtually every NBA fan

Harden is as close to unguardable as there is. Tougher than Curry.

                              Game Day!

What's JV's injury status these days....and what exactly was his injury? I thought it was a dislocated finger, but it seems like he's been off for a really long time for a pretty common injury like that.
