  • Wow, Prince would be a huge upgrade coming off the bench over Salmons and Feilds. And get Ennis @22? I know this hasn't happened yet, but what a difference between Colangelo and MU.

Just realised, does this means that we have less cap room to re-sign Lowry?
          Myself (March 2014):
The raptors are a tremendous young team and will win a championship in the following five years.

If we get ennis I suspect we might let big balls go

I don't want him gone though

So if we have him, our resigning this year will be super tight?

He's due 7.7m in 2014-15 and then he expires. He's just more money that expires in 2015 for the Raptors to chase free agents then, which works out well - Landry, Hayes and Prince together are $20m of expiring contracts in 2015. That's a max free agent right there.

Big balls plays more of a SG type of role than PG. Ennis would likely take Nando minutes.

                    • Wait, if we get Prince, can we still resign Vasquez, PatPat and Lowry?

Not really, because remember that we have Bird rights on Lowry, 2Pat and Greivis and can go over the cap to sign them. We can also go over the cap to sign our rookies. We can also go over the cap for an midlevel exemption or biannual exemption signing. We can do all of that and stay under the tax.

Yup, we can. We've got bird rights for these guys.

                                Raptors have Bird Rights.

Cap has no impact to resign your own players if you have Bird Rights.

                                So no to your question
