Usually the NBA playoffs can be somewhat predictable. Teams with star players typically win. This season however has been really bizarre. I have no expectations whatsoever but how much of a guarantee is it for Indiana to even got to the 2nd round?
The Knicks are dysfunctional but they have some star players that could explode in a 7 game series. Would they really have no chance against the Pacers who are playing terrible ball right now? What if Miami wins the conference? Why would the Pacers be a lock against the Bobcats who actually have a decent team this year?
Miami in my opinion is the only difficult team and that's only because of Lebron James. They have been struggling and I'm sure will put the jets on once they get to the playoffs as they've done it so many times already.. just think that a young team with a lot of energy and drive could make it a series just like the Pacers were able to do it in previous years.
One game at a time is how I will be approaching this.. but I could see the Pacers getting upset in the first round. How interesting would it be if the Raptors ended up playing the Knicks in the 2nd round?
PLAY MY OUTSTANDING YOUNG PLAYERS LESS THAN 25 MINUTES WHEN THEY DOMINATE
When are people going to appreciate the fact Casey has the Raptors winning basketball games? Yes he probably plays Salmons too much, and does some other questionable things, but the Raptors are in every. Single. Game. He has to get a lot of credit for that, and no one gives him it. Yes we play down to the Bucks, but we also play up for the Pacers/Heat/Warriors etc. You know who we'll be seeing in the playoffs? The best teams, not the worst, and I have confidence we can stick with any of them.
He's made a lot of improvements recently as well. He's playing De Colo more and he's producing, he's giving JV 30+ minutes, Ross is playing more. You can nit pick at him all you want, but at the end of the day the Raptors are third in the East and ahead of expectations and he deserves a lot of credit.
