  • No doubt, one of the guards should have been on the bench for JV, PPat is a good shooter and would force the D to be more commited to him. But JV would also bring his defender closer to the basket which could possibly trap Lowry (though he's fairly good at getting out of it so he could get it to Jonas for a dunk)

It's funny you bring up zone, because that was a big strength for Dallas while Casey was there. Something we've seen less and less of in his years here.

            Nah. Need an experienced coach.

            Jeff Van Gundy.

yeah I remember. We don't play zone no more but there are ways to attack it too so team's got used to it over the years?

holy shit yes. of the top 10 teams for lowest opponent field goal % in league history, he's coached 2 of those teams. only other coach with more than one season in the top 10 is pop.

(or Nick Nurse because that's probably the coolest name of anyone on the coaching staff)

In a very different era though.

It's hard to watch because they run and gun. They don't have the personel to play that way. This team is more of a half court team. Run if you can but never rush.

JVG's offence was never very inspiring though. A fair amount of iso. Probably pretty similar to what we run when we're not running and gunning.

*We were better earlier about it, when DD was healthy. More opportunistic running.

                        • Speaking of Nick Nurse, isn't he the one in charge of this offence???

Though who knows how "in charge" he actually is.

                            • maybe karl wouldn't be a bad option.. he's known as an offensive coach but for the majority of his career, his teams have ranked either within top 10 or just outside top 10 in defensive efficiency.

in his most recent stint, the nuggets were 11th. (better than our 22nd right?)

no I don't want a guy who throws his players under the bus and chokes in playoffs.
