Professor Arenas has been put on a sabbatical
This class is on hold.
But in it's place we present
Intro to Psychology
Is it really as simple as this?
In the last class we covered that 3 is more than 2.
But the follow up is that 3 is more variable than 2.
So our we just left to the whims of whether a long range shot lands?
It would seem that way.
There have been a lot of games where we've shot terribly from 3 and we lost those games.
There have been a lot of games where we shot great from 3.....
Who am I kidding?
There's been a couple.
But overall we shoot 32% in our losses and 38% in our wins
So can we help control that?
Well, if there's been one thing you can count on for this year's Raptors,
it's that you can't count on them.
They beat the Suns and lose to the Hornets
Here we have almost an ideal scientific experiment
2 teams keeping the same lineup
the exact same arena
only 2 days later.
Can they do it again?
Part of the success was Pascal going 5/6 from three.
Can he do that again? Likely not but there is promise.
Because he didn't just shoot 5/6 from three, he shot 5/6 corner 3's
For the worst 3 point shooter in the league,
he's actually doing ok from there
