Holy shit if we get Aldridge, fuck tanking. He's a superstar teams like Philly are Tanking FOR and if he signs with us, that shows you how far the raptors as a franchise have come.

He'd look great in raps uniform playing strictly at the 4 like he has always wanted. We'd be elavated to contender status in this super weak east, and it'll open the door for more FA to sign next year. Im all for this !

Cap hold for Nando is 1.9M. It was already on the books, the QO doesn't change that. Whether we extended the QO or not, we were going to have to waive his rights to get the cap numbers I've been using. So this changes nothing, except to make sure he doesn't bolt to another team until we are sure we want to waive his rights.

LMA is indeed the sort of guy you sign and run with. If we were giving up assets to get him that would be a concern with his age - but just signing him? Go get 'em.

If you sign LMA to a max deal (19.0M), that leaves 3.9M. Then you sign Aminu to 4 years at 3.9M starting salary. At that point might as well give up on the CoJo dream since if SAS miss out on Aldridge, they will probably match anything we could offer.

Then:
Lowry/Wright/Vet
DeMar/Ross/Powell
Aminu/JJ/Bruno
LMA/PP/Daniels
Jonas/BeBe/Vet

That starting lineup can score the bejeezus out if the ball, so Aminu isn't such an issue there. Aminu and LMA dramatically improve the rebounding, and should help defensively a lot too. Secondary line has a lot of floor spreaders and decent defence, although it relies a bit on youth. Sign a couple of vet min guys to fill in when the youth occasionally falters and you are good to go.
