    "treadmilling"

ugh, how a hate these ridiculous catch phrases. They are ridiculous, and show that people have a very limited understanding of how the professional sports team building process works.

Not really, because MU doesn't really believe in this core.
But in the NBA YOU NEED GOOD PLAYERS to get GREAT PLAYERS ( knicks couldn't even have a meeting with LMA)...
or you can go the Sam Hinkie way.

On your way to greatness ALL TEAMS minus the Spurs get on the treadmill; the question is HOW FAST CAN YOU GET OFF IT.
If the Warriors don't fire M. Jackson ; does this team EVER reach the next level ??

You have to make some move along the way and the right one gets you off way faster; the wrong moves and you lose your good players and have to go to the lottery.

Treadmill = trying to win without high level talent (ie all-nba first or second team)

          so the hawks?
          "Bruno?
Heh, if he is in the D-league still in a few years I will be surprised.
          He's terrible."

that's a pretty stringent bright line.

hawks lost in the ECF after losing Thabo and key injuries to 2 starters. raptor are treadmilling because they lost twice in the first round to lower seeds including getting swept and still kept a coach that cant win playoff games assuring another first round exit.

All they need to do is land the next Durant and then you are a perennial contender

if the raptors have a legit chance of beating the Cavs and Bulls they are not treadmilling. beating the Western Champion is another matter. last season Raptors would have had difficulty beating any playoff team

knowing their history of drafting bigs instead of wing players. They will land next Greg Oden though.

Anthony Davis is only 22 yet, and is the second or third best player in the world.

The franchise is an injury plagued mess. They got some of the talent part right...now they need to figure out the rest of it.

Either way Davis is going to be producing wins for them for the next 6 years. A much better position to be in than the Raps currently IMO

in the West team need to be able to beat the GSW and/or the Spurs not to be considered treadmilling. not to mention the other half dozen that are tough

That's not enough in the West.

AD will leave like KG did. Raptor need to try for AD and Wiggins not waste time with guys like Boozer
