Hield and Valentine are two of the most NBA ready prooects in the draft. Also they both have ridiculous range.

A) We aren't getting Hield. He's gone by 9.

B) Valentine always had the offense run through him in college, and isn't a spectacular athlete or very quick. Also, only 6'6". Might not be able to guard big 3s, which runs you back into the 'can you play him beside DeMar?' problem. So he's a guy who won't play to his strengths(being the centerpiece of the offense) here, because we need the ball in Kyle and DeMar's hands.

C) Still doesn't address the PF problem, which is a far more pressing need than shooting off the bench.

Also, with Valentine, big red flag to me is that he was a bad defender in college. Michigan State frequently had to hide him. You don't want a guy like that beside DeMar.

Realistically, I can't see us reinventing our offense in two days to be pass oriented built around JV. That's just not going to happen.

Our best chance is simply that DeMar and Lowry hit shots. Look at our elimination game history in these playoffs. Their usage goes WAY up. That's what will happen tomorrow.

We don't have to reinvent anything to take advantage of JVs mismatches. If the team comes out and makes the conscience effort to establish JV early, that will force the Cavs to adjust to watch him dominate.

this it's not like we need to change the offense to accomodate JV. Just look for him more and hit him on more rolls, make them defend him and that's gonna open things up for DD and Lowry and our shooters.
