Would Maker or Sabonis make anyone happier?

Maker might. Definitely a swing for the fences, but an intriguing set of tools.

Sabonis would likely get a similar reaction to Poeltl. Maybe since he's a more natural PF there would be a bit less apathy and disappointment.

Would Maker or Sabonis make anyone happier?

Maker, yes. High upside, athletic, mobile. Has a good shooting stroke already, looks like a modern NBA big and if he panned out could be a very high impact player. Poeltl at best could just be JV lite.

I think Poeltl was drafted to be traded or to replace JV if Masai ever decides to trade him. Poeltl was the BPA and scouts from other teams might still like him. Can't really comment on the pick until a year or two from now.

This should be a fun game.. both teams have high octane offenses.. and both teams struggle on defense.

And with Carroll playing over 40mpg last night.. hopefully we'll see more Powell tonight.
