HORRIBLE asset management by BC and the Sixers. Hard to believe they couldn't have gotten a better deal a year ago

They aren't "fragile". It's about being smarter protecting guys bodies.

"Herp derp hockey players used to play without helmets! Why are current players so fragile???"
Yes, because bodies need protection from.....ummm.....running?

Yup, he was asking for real assets when the league saw him as probably another Anthony Bennett. By now the league knew he was another Bennett.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

            Ah yes, good point.

Players need protection from running AND jumping. That's definitely the same thing as hockey players not wearing helmets, right Shaolin?

Running and jumping destroys your joints. Look at Kenny Smith, didn't do anything other than shoot the ball. Knees completely fucked up

Repetitive tendon stress = guranteed achiles tendinitis

Basketball players don't run that much though. On avg. just 2,55 miles per game. Tennis players 3 miles per match, Soccer players 8-9.5 miles per game

Lesser stress on joints on grass than on hard surfaces.

Yup I know that grass training is perfect cuz of softer surface(less stress on lower legs, rare stress injuries) and great benefits, but your leg muscles are still working much harder(internal and external obliques) when you train on grass and that's why there's an epidemic of plantar fasciitis in soccer. You need strong ankles and flexible feet to run on grass.
