          • Fred, Delon and OG are great defenders that we don’t have right now. Defense won’t be as sharp as usual
            OG is our king

He is an incredible defender but Kyle is more of a savvy defender. This year I take Kyle and I agree he’s playing like the clear cut second best point guard in the league right now.

Nash also sprinted all day long in an era where guys were walking up and down the court.

100% agree, not necessarily in response to specific posts here but "athleticism" is often used in a very one dimensional way with basketball.

That recent post from the Whizz forum had somebody describing Kyle Lowry as "not athletic or strong" ffs. I mean that's partially ill informed but partially typical.

And yeah, white guys are more often described as less athletic, high IQ, and great team guys. Black guys are athletes and we hear about attitudes a lot. I mean Kyle Lowry could hardly be more cerebral or a better team player, but we hear about his attitude still because he had a run in with Kevin McHale 10 years ago and he still occasionally looks grouchy in a world where too many white people are scared of The Angry Young Black Man.
Though speaking highly of Lebron is frowned on in this forum he is another great example. Casual fans assume he is great because he is 6'8, 285 and at his peak the fastest guy in the league. But in addition he has an amazing mind; the guy can remember every play from every game and knows where players are on the court and where they are about to be.....like a grandmaster in chess. And he's black and has no higher education. Complex sports like basketball, baseball, soccer etc are great in that they don't entirely favour people with one or two genetic attributes. There are many ways to be successful. Of course to be a superstar they have to have the physical and the mental.

Amidst the Kawhi hype he may actually be our best offensive player thru 5.5 games

                        • Bucks stomping the Wolves.... seriously they need to trade Butler now. That locker room must be a mess.

Can't wait for the game on Monday.
