Did anyone else feel like gouging their eyes out watching Marco frickin' Bellinelli abuse Ross for multiple backdoor layups?

Man oh man, Ross is becoming very hard to root for. It's starting to look like he's never going to "get it".

I've also been rooting for Ross, am happy to see him show some development with his off the bounce game, pull up shots, and floaters, but that guy gets burned defensively as bad as anybody else on this team. A simple pick will put him so far behind his man, you have to wait a second to see who's supposed to be guarding that guy that's about to take a wide open three. Then Ross comes running out from behind 2 bigs and you realize "Oh, that's Terrence Ross' guy. Bummer, he was supposed to be our perimeter defense specialist."

At this point I'll be happy for Ross to develop into a productive bench player. I think there's more of a future in investing in JV, JJ, and PP to play with KL and DD.

Would re-sign him to a value extension deal this summer.. 5 years $30M could end up being a steal and wouldn't be hard to unload if he doesn't turn it around.

Considering his confidence issues and weak showing this season a deal like this could get done

Yeah it's definitely not getting any easier.. And to be honest that trade rumour that circulated about 3 weeks ago regarding sending Ross, an expiring and a pick to Phoenix for Green, Plumlee & Ennis is looking better and better by the game. Honestly with the way that revamped starting 5 performed (against a formidable opponent) it seems less likely that we should be targeting a starting 3 or 4 and should instead target a backup SF and true backup centre...

Thus looks like something that can grow together, and to be honest we only need to hold into green and plumlee until Bruno and Bebe develop enough to garner the 2nd string minutes. Maybe the rest of this year then all of next year, by the 2016 season I'm sure they can be full backups.

That looks like a scary good set up considering all the length and height on the bench, defence would be amazing on both lines. And JJ & 2pat or both just 25... Solid pieces to invest time into as starters; especially next to DD, Lowry & JV

I'm more inclined than ever to keep him. He's still got the tools to do well, and you never know when a guy will click. Meantime, he might just come pretty cheap via extension this summer or in RFA.

What he needs is a contract year. I think the only thing that will motivate him to take his game to the next level is a do-or-die situation.

He actually might be. And if thats the case, and the GM and coach believe it too, likely they are just balancing out how to kep him longer, and not hurt the team.

IF they believe he has that potential, and then IF the depth at the 2 stays deep with GV being able to spell Lou and DD, then maybe they feel he's worth the gamble.

Cuz if he get it right upstairs, he CAN be really awesome.
