Speaking of desperation...what is NY doing other than shedding salary. PJ hoarding the cap room for whom?
They're tanking so hard Philly is scrambling. Dalembert released. Knicks are a very white team, not to be racist.

It's okay. People have been calling Toronto a very white team in the past, so it's okay to give that title to a fellow Atlantic Division team lol

PJ is probably gonna shut down Melo for the rest of the season like most reports are speculating. Knowing the NBA and how the lotto works, the Knicks are probably gonna get the first overall pick. They're gonna draft Jahlil Okafor and try to get a free agent like Milsap or Monroe. Then you would have a lineup of Calderon, Hardaway Jr., Melo, Milsap/Monroe, and Okafor. At least I think that's their plan lol

            • Philly beats Cavs for 1st home win. Knicks now hold the coveted #30 spot.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

For the sake of the Raptors pick hope so. They are years away from the playoffs. Dont see Millsap leaving to join that crud. Monroe can be Amare 2.0

That's true. It's hard to see Millsap leaving Atlanta for the trash heap that is New York, but money talks. I mean the tune of $124 million got Melo to stay in the trash heap that is New York when could have gone to Chicago or Houston lol.

If Knicks overpay maybe but he overlaps Melo at the 4 and Melo at the 3 is terrible. Millsap isn't as good as a 3 either. Knicks might overpay Dragic since they lost out on Lowry.

True. Melo is better at 4 than 3. Dragic might also be a very viable option. Rondo maybe? If it doesn't work out with the Mavs....

Tobias Harris has been talked about a lot by US media (or at least NY media), and it's a believable target. Would be interchangeable with Melo as both are 3/4s.

I would think that the Magic would probably try their very best to keep him around!

Harris is an RFA and doesn't work with Melo. Both are midrange. Knick may try to grab both Rondo and Dragic if they can move Jose. Depends on how committed to the triangle they are since a 2 guard backcourt wouldn't work in a triangle, especially with a non-shooter. 2 guards + Melo + a high draft pick big

Well, Jackson is running the team and has only ever run the triangle as a system.

Harris could work just fine. Both guys being midrange is a dramatic oversimplification. Both are scoring threats from pretty much anywhere on the court. And it's not like having versatile, multiposition players is bad for the triangle. In fact, having overlapping skills can make things easier.

*Harris is RFA, but will Orlando match a max offer, which he very well could get? I wouldn't say it's a sure thing. Orlando has proven nothing, have a very young team, and thus aren't exactly in the best position to start giving out max contracts.

Both are also used to being number one options. Draymond Green fits better and adds a lot of skills to complement Melo. Dragic is the better PG in a triangle then Rondo. A good shooting-passing 2 or move Dragic to the 2 and find a defensive 3-D pg completes the triangle. At center Noah fits but isn't a FA.
