Time remaining on the shot clock, how many dribbles taken before the shot, how many teammates touched the ball, the current score, knowledge of who's hot/not, how closely guarded he is, etc., all factor into his shitty decision making.

DeMar is taking:
6 shots per game off 3-6 dribbles. 37% eFG.
4.2 shots per game off 7+ dribbles. 21.1% eFG.
3.1 shots a game in very tight defense. 14.3% eFG.
10.4 shots per game in tight defense. 30.9% eFG.
6.4 shots per game in tight defense, more than 10ft from the basket. 25.9% eFG.
10.8 shots per game on pull ups, 32.0% eFG.
His eFG% by touch time:
<2 seconds: 45.7%.(6.4 per game)
2-6 seconds: 32.1%.(9.3 per game)
6+ seconds: 23.8%.(4.7 per game)
DeMar is doing a lot of things perfectly awful on offense.twitter.com/anthonysmdoyle

I think my favorite thing about the last couple games has been the clear cut examples of how bad derozan is.
Example 1: Lowry drains a half court shot to tie the game. Derozan dribbles instead of swinging the ball, he dribbles it off himself leading into a turnover to lose the game.
Example 2: JV goes beast mode to keep the raps in the game, getting a ridiculous tip in off a missed free throw... Derozan, down a game on homecourt lets Deng blow by him for an easy dunk in the final moments of game 2.

We have to remind ourselves to take a step back and realize we're witnessing historical levels of futility by our "stars".
