Those types of lists actually hurt the credibility of the advanced metrics movement rather than help it. I wonder if they actually believe some of the stuff that their formula cranks out?

Fully wrote: View PostThat entire list is so askew that it's not even fair to single out Waiters and Oladipo. They're both good, young players who I'm not going to tear down just to pump up DD; I just think it's ridiculous that an all star/national team member can't find a spot in the league's top 15 shooting guards.

You're the poster who said that Oladipo *almost* had as good a year as Derozan last year. Haha. Sometimes haters get exposed for what they really are.I relish negativity and disappointment. How about we let Waiters and Oladipo prove something first before we start just ranking them above Demar. I don't like calling people haters because I believe that term is used to loosely but with a situation like this I really believe it's hard not to call some of you haters. Even Dan H and mcHAPPY who give Demar constructive criticism and constantly point out his flaws don't agree.I relish negativity and disappointment. It is not healthy. Somebody buy me a pony.

GLF wrote: View PostAgreed. My statement wasn't to say that Waiters and Oladipo aren't good young players it was more to prove that they aren't better than Demar at this current moment. Especially with the improvements Demar has made so far this offseason.
Using last years stats alone, he's top 5 PERIOD. We all know that if he played on an American team, he'd receive much more respect. The good thing is that the decision makers at USA basketball recognize how good he really is. The coaches around the league know how good he is. Honestly, a fair amount of our fans are starting to realize it too. Some appear too stubborn to move from their positions last year (iBlastoff) some have actually come around (McHappy).

GLF wrote: View PostLOL. My thing is I just don't understand how as basketball fans, who watch not only the Raptors but many other teams throughout the year, are going to sit here and say Oladipo and Waiters are better than DD. All because of ONE stat that some random on espn posted. Anyone with a brain or eyes knows that is beyond ridiculous. Anyone can pull out a stat and make certain players look better than others. I bet there is a stat that you can pull out that makes Mason Plumlee look better than Cousins for example.
