That would mean matching his career best in scoring, while setting new career highs for rebounds and assists.

Last March, he did average 24/6/4 in 15 games (team went 7-8 in those games). He shot 45.5% from 3 in that stretch though, and was a -3.2, with 38.4MPG and 29.2 Usage.

In April, averages of 24/3.7/5 in 7 games with insane Usage of 30.5% and 36.7MPG.

Really don't see how DD can put up 22/5/5 unless we give him ridiculous minutes and usage.
If you guys are making such a big deal about this looming free agency next summer. Best believe his making a big deal out of it too. Pretty much a contract year for DD he will come out guns blazing. With Lou being gone. There is more usage to go around for everyone.

DeMar is going to have a crazy year! I could easily see DD averaging 22/5/5. That's worth 20+ mil to me. I'm under the impression the DD we saw to close out the year is the DD will get all year next year. That guy is a 20+ mill player.
You do realize that in the history of the nba and aba that feat has only been done 77 times, by only 27 players, of who only 12 were guards( he managed the feat 41 times)

The names on that list of Guards...

      Michael Jordan
      Kobe Bryant
      Oscar Robertson
      Drexler
      Jerry West

That is some pretty loft ambitions you have for your superhero there, to as you put "I could easily see DD averaging 22/5/5".

Demar shouldn't have more usage though, he's already in the Top 10 (tied with Steph Curry), despite his poor efficiency.

no, there is only so much usage to go around.

We are looking at an expanded role for jv, that is a requirement, Lowry gonna at least maintain, as someone needs to run the show and he is a better player than Demar, and Carrolle is definately gonna have a much larger role than Ross did last year. And there is Cujo, and the rookie, and Ross and Pat with an expanded role.

Giving Demar MORE opportunity in the offense means less for our new 60 million dollar signing and young promising center, and allstar pg and freshly signed backup pg.

Demars role should and needs to be decreased by at least 3 or 4% usage.

This year he averaged 20.1/3.5/4.6(missed 25 games)

            Last year 22.7/4.0/4.3(healthy)

Its not far fetched at all. So back to back years DD has been close to putting up numbers that only 27 other players have? Sounds like a 20+ player to me.

Thats not close, and thats the point.

Increasing a seasonal average by 1 or more is no easy feat.

If this team is going to play even half decent it is going to require a well balanced full team effort, if demars averages stay the same ir even marginally improve we are a .500 ballclub

Dear was on his way prior to this season to get close to perennial all-star then the over dribbling and Casey ball started. Even before the injury he looked like Gay 2.0

Well the fact that DD has never averaged both 5 rebounds and 5 assists over a single month at any point in his career is one fact that would lend to say no.

DD has increased his rebounding to the point where he could average 5 boards per this season. But assists, very unlikely; especially if you want him shooting enough to get 22 points.

This year when Demar stopped passing his ppg dropped a lot and its hard to rebound if you take every shot. Not saying that he reaches 20/5/5 but few players are even close at SG or even SF. Under a better coach .... Yada yadda yada

His averaged pretty much avetaged 4 assist the last two years

3.5 last year, 2.4 on his career, and again, never in his career has he averaged 5 assists per game for even a month long stretch. Pretty hard to suggest he'll suddenly do 5 per for a whole season.

                              But he works so hard.
But he gets better every year.

He averaged 6 during the playoffs. I don't see why it so hard to up one stat by 1. You guys don't give him enough credit for his playmaking.
