"Anthony Davis was the No. 1 pick in the draft and picked up a gold medal at the London Olympics, but the most intriguing rookie in the East may be Jonas Valanciunas, above, a 6-foot-11 center from Lithuania. Drafted in 2011, Valanciunas could be a perfect complement to Andrea Bargnani, the Raptors’ most important player. The 20-year-old Valanciunas is thin, but he is an aggressive rebounder, and unlike many big men he is not a liability at the free-throw line."

A lithuanian basketball site wrote that JV has set a personal goal for the season: to win the ROY trophy. I'm not sure it's really realistic though, but then again, aim for the stars if you fall short you will still land on the moon
