UN officially declares Ebola outbreak a threat to international peace and security.

Obama sent 3000 U.S. soldiers into Africa to combat this virus.
What are they gonna do? Shoot the germs?

Soldiers are quick learners + skilled enough to do more than kill people, sir.

Build treatment centers. Train under qualified doctors/nurses. I doubt they'll provide direct care to Ebola patients. Most likely they will be relief effort coordinators, I just wonder what will Obama do in case of breakdown of civil society.

He'll probably go to Martha's Vineyard or to Hawaii. And golf, ya he'd definitely golf.

Those 3000 soldiers could be Medics

I don't think so. Medics can't contain this outbreak and do you really think Obama sent 3000 medics after declaring ebola as a security threat, not global health threat?

In my opinion, U.S. military action in Africa will be all about capacity building and logistics - not sure how much this will help though.

Also, 2-star General was named to lead fight against Ebola. He's a logistics specialist.

Crew members who transported the patient have been isolated too. No sign of Ebola so far.

Interesting fact: Patient arrived in the Merica on 9/20 and has been hospitalized 8 days later on 9/28.

Damn that's a bad delay. Kind of shit that will give an epidemiologist nightmares, especially if more cases start popping up.

Gov. Perry said that Ebola patient had contact with school age children.

Just saw British news.. they say that Ebola patient may have traveled via Heathrow airport. It means he spent some time in London, UK.

They also said that patient was misdiagnosed on 9/26 and sent home with antibiotics.

Few news sites say that as many as 12 Americans may have become infected.

EDIT: Number has changed to 18 Americans.

12 hours later, health officials are monitoring as many as 80 people for Ebola in Dallas.

We may have a terrifying mess on our hands in North America in about two to three weeks.

University of Minnesota thinks this strain of Ebola is airborne:

We believe there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients

On people's shoes and tires and then spread elsewhere is one bleak guess... These two geniuses then go home and do their usual thing and this spreads for days without any control... That's another guess.
