Boozer has been officially amnestied by the Bulls.. am actually a bit surprised by that move. Didn't think Reinsdorf would pay Carlos to go play somewhere else.

They waived some other players as well. Isnt this in order to sign Mirotic? Reinsdorf probably hates paying the tax even more I think. They wouldnt do it unless absolutely necessary.

Cost to move him, Snell and/or picks, was probably higher than the 16M to waive him. Really they could have moved him for the cost of McDermott. McBuckets isn't worth 16M imho
Dirk signs for $25M/3 years.. talk about a steal for Dallas.
on the other hand.. Wade signs for $34M/2 years (player option after 1).
And it seems that ESPN is backtracking on that Wade number. So typical. Rush, try to be the first, report something uncertain as a fact, something that doesn't even seem to work with their previously reported numbers by the way. And then backtrack.

Hawks and Hornets are the favorites to nab him from Amnesty bidding. Boozer doesn't get to decide where he goes, it's just blind bidding, with the highest bidder getting Boozer for a year. The Heat don't have enough cap space left to outbid Hawks or Hornets.
Jason Smith signs with the Knicks, he would be a good backup C behind Val. Who are some of the FA left. Are we still pursuing Andrej Blatche. One roster space left, come on Masaii, do your magic.

That'd be a good grab for the Hornets. They had to use McRoberts last year, and they lost him. Boozer would be a talent upgrade. Boozer/Jefferson would be a spacing nightmare but just abusive in the post to opposing D
The Stephenson signing wasnt that much more than what the Pacers offered. Looks like they (and many other teams) just walked away from him. Must be toxic.

Well, before he was lined up for 5/44M with Indy. Assuming a backloaded deal, that would look like 7.7M, 8.2M, 8.8M in the first 3 seasons (24.7M). He signed a 3 year deal for 27M, so it is a pay raise in the short term, and he may well make a lot more in the new TV deal world post 2016 (if CHA declines his team option he'll be a free agent in 2016, if not in 2017).

Yeah his agent is definitely looking at putting his playoff antics behind him the next 2 years and then cashing in on the TV deal. Apparently if Dallas didn't get Parsons they were gonna give him 2yr/20M.
