I know it was a necessity but 42 mins for Lowry on the first game of a back to back is not ideal.
He and Freddy are going to be overworked for the next stretch.
When was the last time the Raps were killin' it in the 4th Q and rested the starters ? I think there was only one game but it was when the starters were playing like azz and the bench was killin' it

Mavs fans are fuming at Carlisle.
Oh man, just imagine if we are up 30 with 2:30 to go in the 3rd quarters and then lost. Yikes.

With 3 big rotation players hurt.. minutes are going to be bad all around. But the only guy that suffered today was Kyle. Every other starter played less than 30. Serge only played 24. So that's a good sign going into tomorrow. This game hopefully gives Nurse a bit more confidence in his bench. He should use them.

But the schedule sucks right now. We get 2 days off for the Christmas game after playing tomorrow. Than 3 days off before another 3 games in 4 nights. Hope Pascal is back for the second game against Boston. Could use him for that stretch.

Would probably end up being the longest regular season game thread in RR history.

I’m so happy that Nurse left Boucher, Rondae and Davis in the game all the way through, might’ve kept Miller in as well if he’d hit those open threes. Great way to show his confidence in those guys, cause they fucking deserved it
It’s more important than that. You can’t get into a rhythm when you’re playing 10-15 minutes a game or less. McCaw, on the other hand, is gifted 20+ mpg without earning it.

Fred is young and he’s trying to secure a big contract. And he was just off for a bunch of games. He needs to prove that he’s durable.

RR would be yelling for Nurse to be fired

                • And to add salt to Dallas fans woes - the Cowboys are losing to the Eagles as well today

                  • We scored more in that 4Q than entire 1H...47 vs 42..,Big boost to the bench. RHJ figured something special was gonna happen as he implored the crowd to bring up the noise level after Carlisle called a TO when Raps pulled to 18 down part way thru the 4Q.

                    • Just play the bench more, if that doesn't guarantee them more playing time then I'm not sure what does.

                      • Davis and RHJ should always play together. Both played extremely good on both ends and were active on the boards.

Hell, a few people still seem upset after the greatest comeback in franchise history.

The trio of Davis, RHJ and Boucher are a great fit on the floor together. Tremendous length, energy, shot blocking and rebounding on the defensive end, floor spacing, solid 3-pt shot, good passing and great put backs/hustle on the offensive glass. Today was eerily reminiscent of the Lakers game earlier in the year. All they need is:

                            1. Real minutes
                            2. A playmaker with them (Lowry or Fred)
                            3. A sense that the team is counting on them as a unit

You add another shooter to that trio (like Matt Thomas), and they'll wreak havoc on opposing benches all year long

                            • Biggest comeback of the decade in the NBA and not a peep on the ESPN NBA home page. The Raptor hate (or fear) is real.

Another shooter is key. Miller when he's gun shy or McCaw don't work that well. Thomas is a great fit.
