I'm thinking we could get that 12th pick depending on if we want to send a future pick

Yep. OKC doesn't have enough roster spots for all those draft picks, so they're also in a position where they have to punt them forward or trade them. Nuggets needed to free up some cap, so that was a win-win.

          ^^^ Like I was saying...

Leonard Miller has apparently withdrawn from the draft - he apparently will sign with the Ignite, so will be able to be watched through the 905.

Miller is really, really raw. Good move for his development, but I bet it will hurt his draft stock long term. Great physical tools, but can look Bruno-esque awkward at times, especially finishing, for a super long 6-10 guy vs high schoolers. 2+2 years away?

There were slim chances the Raptors would have drafted Miller as he is too raw and the Raptors want a more experienced player that could play some bench minutes this season without Nick Nurse plucking his hair out.

                Gary for the 12th pick.

I've done zero research to see if that makes sense for them. We could take Derrick Favors to free up a roster spot for them and add another former Georgia Tech player to the roster (Thad played for GT as well).

On an expiring contract? For the 12 pick?? I’ll tell you right now that makes no sense for OKC.

At the end of season presser, both Fred and Nurse said stuff to the effect of "development time is over", i.e., it's winning time and they don't have the patience for development projects.

Sure feels like the Raptors are going to draft a more NBA ready player, like when they picked Delon & Norm to add to the Kyle/DeMar rising core. If we keep the 33rd pick, then I could easily see them drafting a high floor, 4-year college guy, along the lines of Andrew Nembhard.

If they wanted to resign him. Any Gary trade 100% depends on the receiving team planning on resigning him. He's not a rental if you're willing to pay him 20+M per year, he'd sign a long term deal like that for sure.

I don't see Nembhard being drafted as he isn't fitting the mold of what they want to do.

Jake LaRavia is the guy that seems to check mark most of their boxes and can probably play some minutes this year with the bench unit.

Blake Wesley is another guy that would fit what the Raps are doing but he's not NBA ready imo.

If they pick at 33 I still like Dalen Terry. If we can move into the late lottery, I like Dyson Daniels.

being drafted at all or with the raptors?

I agree Jake seems like a good prospect SMART player.

it just seems like the thunder only care about the top line picks so they may not value the 12th.. they already have the 2nd so its not like they will absolutely want to pay 2/12/and 34 to move up.... and I don't think orlando would want to do that. Orlando already has enough prospects they are likely looking to start taking strides forward ... OKC may want to start making strides forward not this year but the year after so if they see trent as that guy then maybe... at the end of the day Trent wants to get paid so from his perspective any team willing to pay him say.... 23-25 million he wouldn't complain too hard.

Yes but its very likely he will be gone by the time the Raptors pick but i agree he fits.

I just hope the Raptors aren't going to pay dearly for trading that first round pick to SA.
