I think Patterson is the incumbent starter. Scola will play better against back ups anyway. It is a good signing. A smart vet, like I said earlier, really good to practice against. Has a really nice up and under game, can hit shots. Unfortunately, everywhere he has been brought as a solid back up has done worse the year he got there. Kind of the opposite of salmons.

Definitely better than boozer and after reading the Morris article yesterday, I wouldn't want a Morris here anyway.

They are the ones signing the deal... It's a good thing that things are kept in-house.

What did people really expect us to do? We improved on the wing, got quality back ups, and didn't sacrifice future flexibility. Sure, we probably won't win a championship but we are building towards contention.

They clearly expected moves that would win a championship, in a single week of a single summer of free agency - that or a complete tank. A few have expectations in between (ie. reasonable)
