  • Game #32: Toronto Raptors 93 - Dallas Mavericks 98

    Projected Starters:

Toronto Raptors - JV, Ibaka, OG, DeRozan, Lowry
Dallas Mavericks - Nowitzki, Kleber, Barnes, Matthews, Smith JR

    Notes:
    • This is the first meeting this season between the Mavs and Raptors.
    • The Raptors swept the Mavericks last season 2 games to 0. The last time they faced was on March 25, 2017. Kyle Lowry was absent from that game.
    • This will be the first game of a back to back for the Raptors. They will face OKC in Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
    • Dallas is off to a slow start this season. They have a record of 9-25 and are second last in the league in Winning percentage.
    • The Mavericks are currently on a 2 game losing streak and are 2-8 in their last 10.
    • The Raptors are on a 6 game winning streak, and are 9-1 in their last 10.

    Let's go Raptors!

Hope they're up for this one. It would be nice to hold on to the #1 seed for more than 24 hours. It's ripe to be a trap game. Even though Dallas has a terrible record, it feels like they've been in a bunch of games close to the end. But the Raps should want to do Casey proud in his old arena. Keep it goin' PM.

It’d be real fun to hold the 1st seed for a while.

Or the rest of the season
      OG is our king

I'm onboard with this thought. Win this one. Stay ahead of Boston. Hope they lose a couple more over the next week. They've got a soft schedule, but the Rockets and Cavaliers are coming up in the next week, though both are at home.

Dallas is the only team in the league with members of both the +100 and -200 club. That's mostly because only 3 NBA players are -200 and 2 of them are Mavs starters. Josh Jackson of the Suns is a league worst -255, but Wes Matthews -229 and Harrison Barnes -212 are trying to chase him down.

On the other hand, the Mavs bench has been pretty decent with Devin Harris (who's been around for ages even though you almost never hear about him) is an amazing +118 on the season. Harris was the 5th overall pick back in 2004, 3 spots ahead of the biggest draft blunder in Raptors history.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Was looking at some lineup data the other day and Harris is part of the best one in the league (>100 minutes played).

Barea, Ferrell, Harris, Dirk, Powell: +37.4 in 21 games played.

Got to watch out for this death lineup.

You're gonna openly gripe about wanting to play on Christmas Day —
Ya sure nuff better win on Boxing Day.

Gotta win this one. Go get em gents.

They have to win this one so they can have the battle of the undefeated tomorrow against OKC.7 wins against 5,longest 2 in league.

If they make the olympics in 2020,they will make up a very deep team (including a 20 yr old Barret and who knows who else now in college).

Not an easy game, Dallas proved to be a challenge at home having beaten the Nuggets, Spurs and Pistons this month. Better be ready.
