As one of the "people doing internet things" (by the way, i don't live in a basement, fuck you Dwane), I think this comment is a joke. I'm working towards a doctorate, don't tell me I don't understand hard work and patience. Hell, I advocated for tanking.

I have lots of respect for the hard work Derozan has put in. I just think it's hilarious that the coach of our team won't admit to the fact that the approach has changed entirely in Derozan's game (until the last few games, at least), and that it JUST MIGHT be the reason he's finally having a good year. An approach change which, by the way, we've been calling for forever.

I'm not personally offended, but they are a rather insulting generalizing statement at any fan who dared to question his methods, while sweeping aside all reality of what happened. Just another reason to dislike the coach imo.

It goes back to the debate about whether someone outside the NBA game is qualified to comment. I believe yes, casey obviously believes no. But he might want to start considering changes or he'll find himself outside the NBA game pretty quick too.

But no surprise coming from the guy who flashes the championship ring he rode along for at the press conference post-sweep.
