      Nah, ask Vlade.
Not if they hire hinkie or someone else.

The lottery hasn't been drawn yet. So far you at ingram, brewer, $8m unspecified player and a top 3 pick that the Lakers may or may not own.

"...the Lakers will also be obligated to surrender a first round pick to the Orlando Magic in 2019 — but only if they fail to land in the top three of this year’s draft.

Why? Because that pick is tied to the Lakers’ obligation to the Suns (now Sixers) due to a couple of conditions. One, the Lakers must first satisfy their trade with the Suns (now Sixers) before they can transfer their first round pick to Orlando.

Second, if that pick does indeed end up being in 2018, because of the Ted Stepien Rule (trade rule that has since been amended), the Lakers will be unable to trade first round picks in back-to-back seasons, thus not allowing them to trade the 2018 pick to the Sixers, then their 2019 pick to the Magic. Instead they will surrender two second round picks: 2017 and 2018 to the Magic.

If you’re asking why they didn’t just trade their 2020 first round pick with the Orlando Magic to avoid this whole mess, the answer is because teams can’t trade first round picks seven years out because of the aptly named “Seven Year Rule” (which has also been amended)."
Black or Young, Ingram, Brewer and pick.

        Rule may complicate things.

Masai had previous transactions with ORL so they may also be a good partner

Vlade and Vivek are easy people to fleece.

Young has a player option. He's gonna opt out, just like Griffin, welcome to the new CBA.
So black and brewer (1 yr guaranteed), Ingram (who hasn't done anything yet) and a pick that is totally up in the air atm.

You've now added 4 players and traded one. 3 roster spots have to be open.

Oh, and Lakers have to say yes and so does masai.

Most agree. You're the only one I've read that thinks he opts in and loses millions.

The Derozan effect. Some said that he is tradeable but Masai may have limited options because of the 28 million price tag. That's what you get when you overpay a one dimensional player.

Another concern is Masai always wanting to win a transaction, aiming to fleece someone but not the other way around

                      Stuck in the mud.

So you created a trade DD thread and now you're saying he can't be traded/"stuck in the mud"? So this thread is going nowhere.

You're also playing armchair gm. This thread is your armchair gm to trade DD.
I have a reason why Griffin opts out - money. Why would he opt in, in your armchair gm opinion?
