Could not that be a product of having two very Low-Post-centric bigmen on the floor with him most of the time?

Or the plays that are drawn up?

I'm not trying to make excuses... but I am trying to make excuses. Lol

    • Nice playoff debut for DeMar.

24-4-4 on 55% TS with a 113 oRTG and 111 dRTG. Basically was slightly better than his regular season numbers.

Field goal percentage was bad, but was able to actually score at above average efficiency by getting to the free throw line a crazy amount.

That's great. He showed he could step up in most of the games.

        Expect greater things next year.

Let's keep in mind that the Nets have awful, decrepit wing defenders.

Edit: which really, really, doesn't say much for Ross lol

                Lebong scored 49 tonight!

It's actually good that we didn't have to play them, we couldn't even handle Joe freaking Johnson. Bron probably would have put up 82 in a game against us.

hopefully next year we're in the other side of the bracket and get to the next round and not have to play them!

Well, we'd have to play them eventually.

Hopefully Ross puts on 35lbs of muscle this summer lol

Or we draft a big long and strong wing defender.

                        A rookie can't handle Lebron.

In all seriousness, it will have to be...

Even if they did, it doesn't really matter, it's still the playoffs. And i didn't realize Joe Johnson, Livingston, Pierce and AK47 were "awful, decrepit wing defenders" though.

Before the playoffs: DeRozan's game is going to get exposed in the playoffs. He's going to struggle against the physicality of the game. Playoffs is a diff animal.

After the Nets series where DeRozan puts up all-star numbers: Let's keep in mind that the Nets have awful, decrepit wing defenders.

This. I like DeMar, but even I was surprised that he elevated his game in the playoffs. I think contrary to popular belief, players like DeMar who aggressively seek out contact and have a great in-between game, can actually be very successful in the playoffs.

What's crazy is if you take out his 1st game - the clunker, every game counts obviously but his per game stats:

                                6 games played
                                40.7 minutes
                                25.5 points
                                4.5 rebounds
                                4.0 assists
                                1.3 steals
                                0.2 blocks
                                2.5 turnovers

                                17.3 FGA
                                40.4% FG

                                2.3 3PA
                                42.9% 3PT

                                11.8 FTA
                                88.7% FT
