In a word "inclusiveness" was what I took away... and that is always a good thing. I shall assume that this priority was the determinant when all other necessary qualifications were deemed equal. The cabinet selection also had a very regional makeup as well. This too is very important because many feel isolated from the important decision making residing in central Canada (mostly ON & Que).

It hasn't been a week but I see that the opposition back benches are braying already. But that's the parliamentary system! Loved it when JT informed Obama (during his congratulatory call) that he was pulling the canadian forces out of Iraq. Obama reciprocated by shutting down the XL project

Government (and a PM with a soul)...as I see it. Now he needs to execute. We shall see...lots of talent in the Liberal party.
