He is the only player who played in the NBA finals and so to give him another 2 weeks rest maybe not a bad idea .. Although if he
doesn't make it should they call guys like Andrew Nembhard .. Cause that is 3 gaurds from camp not going
We still have a ton of guards. The backup guys are Canadians that play in Europe so they can easily be called in if we need bodies.

Guards playing for sure: Shai, RJ, NAW, Dort, Brooks, Bell-Haynes, Scrubb brothers

I'm not sure why Nembhard isn't playing, but I can guarantee he'd be on the team if he was willing to play (same for Mathurin and Sharpe).

Dont get me started about the Spurs plan for Wemby this year. 40 year old Michael Jordan played all 82 games for the Wizards in his final year.
Spurs know what they are doing more than anyone else in the league.

Reports say he could join the team on the 17th for the final 2 exhibition games, or just wait until the world cup starts on the 25th. So still a decent chance he plays.

This is the team as it stands now without Murray.

Canada goes into its exhibition series with a 13-man roster. There are seven NBAers on the trip — Gilgeous-Alexander, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, R.J. Barrett, Lu Dort, Dillon Brooks, Kelly Olynyk and Dwight Powell — augmented by Trae Bell-Haynes, Kyle Alexander, Melvin Ejim, Zach Edey and Phil and Tommy Scrubb.

That's still a pretty solid group. Don't think we're screed8without Murray but obviously would be much better if he plays.
As long as Murray plays against the difficult teams in round robin first (Spain & France) I don't mind him not playing against lesser teams to satisfy the so called Denver Nuggets organization medical experts (if we can't beat the lesser teams, we aren't worthy anyway). Murray could have easily said he was not playing this year and no one would blame him (long playoffs and previous injury). So if he gets the Kawhi treatment, im all for it.

These guys are elite athletes. These are some of the most well conditioned athletes in the world. So why can't he play? he's in his mid 20s. The NBA Finals ended 2 months ago. What would happen to him if he play tomorrow?

We as sports fans have accepted this and it just makes me smh. Like the second night of a back to back in the NBA. Most players today sit out the 2nd night of a b2b. Why? because they played 35 mins the night before? that's crazy. These guys are elite athletes who makes hundreds of millions of dollars a year and they can't give you 30 mins because they played the night before?
