Scottie
Gradey
RJ
IQ
should be the core starting point of the rebuild
Following Quickley’s resigning, I was hoping for Patrick Williams and Jalen Smith who are both young guys who aligns Scottie’s age.
But that hope is gone after this shortsighted Ujiri extended $12 milx2 for Relic Olnyk
Trade Poeltl

Yeah he's been great at signing guys that were drafted or he picked up via trade. But brand new talents in free agency he's been terrible. We've never had a lot of cap space to bring in "stars".
Look at the list:
Tyler Hansbrough
DJ Augustin
Austin Daye
James Johnson
Jordan Hamilton
Greg Stiemsma
DeMarre Carroll
Corey Joseph
Luis Scola
Bismack Biyombo
Jarred Sullinger
Fred VanVleet
Malcolm Miller
CJ Miles
Lorenzo Brown
Jordan Lloyd
Chris Boucher
Patrick McCaw
Jodie Meeks
Eric Moreland
Jeremy Lin
Stanley Johnson
Terence Davis
Matt Thomas
Oshae Brissett
Shamorie Ponds
Paul Watson
Aaron Baynes
DeAndre Bembry
Alex Len
Freddie Gillespie
Khem Birch
Isaac Bonga
Svi Mykhailiuk
DJ Wilson
Trent Waters
Daniel Oturu
Armoni Brooks
Justin Champagnie
Ron Harper
Juan Hernandez
Joe Weiskamp
Will Barton
Jalen McDaniels
Dennis Schroeder
Garrett Temple
Jevon Freedom-Liberty
Jontay Porter
DJ Carton
Mouhamadou Gueye
Kobi Simmons
Jahmi'us Ramsey
Malik Williams
Other than Bis and Fred (who was basically a rookie).. what are the wins here?
The team started pretty poorly. We were like 12-17 out of the gate or something. He was never really productive.. just meh. He should have been a backup not a starter. But he didn't want to come off the bench and asked to be traded.
True or not, I hate the "FA won't sign in Toronto" trotted out so often.
Like, why do we have a team here if our hands are tied so badly?
And the ones we DO sign are so often horrible.

Bold move if CBA possible, sign IQ…then trade IQ/ Poeltl and the SA 2024 FRP (if we get lucky to take it back) for Lauri and Colin Sexton
so fitting that we already have a Dick, a Sexton is a must.
but this is just me, likely 99% Ujiri will hang on to Poeltl until his contract ends then probably extend him for another 4 years.

OKC, Denver, Minny, Dallas, and Phoenix have never been free agent destinations and they are all west playoff teams. Add NO and Sacramento in there. Golden State has signed one premier free agent in like 50 years. The only east playoff team in the mix as a result of free agency is the Knicks and that was Jalen Brunson who was a tier 2 or 3 guy they got lucky on.

Most teams in pro leagues are not free agent destinations. Who was the last premier NHL free agent that signed with a Cdn team? Tavares? Should we do away with all the Cdn NHL teams then? Free agents are only one type of player acquisition.

You could argue Boston is where they are now because of signing their initial big 3. That led to them getting a boat load of assets from the Nets. Which led to their current roster. Don't think Boston is where they are now without Boston gettin KG and Ray Allen.
