Good call by Lue. Indiana didn't know how to handle that double.
I though PG should have have went by LBJ, using his forward momentum against him and maybe using him as a screener against his own defender. May have been able to get into the paint for a shot or a pass for a better shot to the right corner. Nonetheless, CJ had a decent look but couldn't drain it. Cavs got out by the skin of their teeth.

After all game 1 in EC in the first round it seems WAS who got easiest rival in ATL, Milsap reaction to tonight's game was crying about being posterized by Gortat:
      https://twitter.com/MGortat/status/853742647185465345

All 3 alpha dogs are on the same level of scariness: PG13, Giannis and Jim Buttler. No way we were wining game 1 against IND or CHI playing like we did, against ATL I feel there would be a good chance. No point for such thinking though, we have to focus on Bucks, but meanwhile it seems that Boston upset alert is not regarded as an upset anymore, because that win wasn't a fluke caused by Chicago shooting lights out, but what everyone expected - hustle, good defense and offensive rebounding of the Bulls.
Indy is more unpredictable, 4:0 seems as possible as 2:2, which gives us a game to cheer for tomorrow. Big winners so far - Wizards (Wall was simply amazing) seems to be closing their series pretty quick and if ATL bench don't lit up crazy scoring game that should end up in a sweep.

Top East teams (even the Lebrons) looking like pretenders in game 1. Will see how they all respond in game 2.

Who has the better supporting cast, Westbrook or IT?

I'm watching this Rockets/Thunder game - who's the Thunder's 2nd best player? Steven Adams? lol

Oladipo looked like he was gonna be a pretty great 2 guard but he's been pretty mediocre with the Thunder. He needs to step it up, if that happens him and westbrook could form a pretty lethal backcourt

Hennigan got whacked ....probably for his ineptness at the draft ....but maybe he saw that Olidipo is what he is and there isn't much more to go on growth from what they are seeing.... just a thought...

All the game 1's are on the books...

The most important series in this part of the world saw the Raps come up flat on the intensity and give a f*ck meter. How that happens is anyones guess and the players should have a long narcassistic look in the mirror. That coupled with the fact that they shot worse than the Bulls usually do cost them big time. The Alphabet is impressive but he still can't shoot from the outside all that well and Kalamian and Casey will adjust to make him a shooter. The Raps shooting better than 36% will cut down a ton on the transition runouts where the Bucks are good.
Everyone on the Raps can play better. There isn't much room for improvement on the Bucks as they gave what they had and in the case of Greg Monroe more than you'll see again.

The Celtics got crushed and powdered on the boards... 53 to 36. Its not going to get better. Thomas even with the incredible sadness that has to be with him emotionally put up 33 but he didn't get much help. Glad to see Jimy Butler wrecking havoc somewhere else than in the ACC. The Celts will make a series of it but until they fix the rebounding they are going to struggle against the Bulls who will kill them with second chance points.
I wonder if the Celts board is firing Brad and trading everyone or calling out the guys that got them where they are ?

Ah the Pacers. WTF happens when your go to guy... doesn't get the ball back to take THE shot. The Pacers let a really good chance slip. Lebron looked great.. but the Cavs still gave up 108 and it was wide open down the lane. The Pacers aren't nearly as good on the road as they are at home. They have to steal one to win this and they may have missed that chance. They go back at it again tonight. The Pacers now know they can hang with the Lebrons and PG will get the ball. No better place for it if your looking to see the Pacers win one.

Didn't catch any of the WHIZ (for my friend Scraptor who says there is no H in whiz) vs Hawks game. From the box score it reads that John Wall played well. The Hawks want a split in DC and we shall see Tuesday if coach bud can find a way to slow Wall down while getting some more production from his own guys.

The Wizards weren't great but they were much tougher and more physical than the Hawks, got a friendly whistle and benefitted from some poor individual ATL performances. Wall was really good. It wasn't so much the stats but he was all over the floor making plays, including one defensive play that wasn't, well, anything on a stat sheet but it led to the Hawks having 1.2 seconds to go the length of the floor and really got the crowd into it and sealed the Hawks' fate. This is a bad match-up for ATL.

The Lebrons win another...Still that defence is shaky coughing up 111 points...
The Pacers are good at home. They are going to have to be ..they pretty much have to win the next two...

The Lebrons took out the Pacers again but its not been a walk in the park for them.
The Big 3 are getting it done for the Lebrons.
A couple things going for the Pacers though. They are going home where they play much better and JR Smith pulled a hammy which may put that streak shooter on the shelf for a bit. Its now or never for the Pacers at home. Paul George is going to have to have a couple of monster games and get some help in game 3 or they will have the last post played for them in game 4 rather than the anthem.

                              On to tonight.

                              Bucks @ Raps
Since Friday night and Saturday morning the Raptor bandwagon seemingly has a few seats open. The Raps put up a stinker against the Bucks and true to from lost the opening game at home. They shot abysmally. 36% from the floor and 22% from the arc. Bulls like. That is unlikely to happen again. What is also unlikely to happen is the Bucks shooting 40% from 3 and only turning the ball over 5 times. We saw the best the Bucks can be and the Raps have a lot more in the tank.
Tonight the Raps continue to hold the edge on the boards and shoot better than they did Saturday. Greg Monroe will not be as good as he was on Saturday and Kyle will be a lot better. Even with Ibaka not 100% the Raps depth holds them in good stead. The Raps eat venison tonight. Raps W.

Bulls at Celtics The Bulls crushed the Celts on the boards. Crushed them. Thats not going to change much throughout the series. Jimmy Butler did Jimmy Butler things and this time it wasn't against the Raps. Look its game one of a seven game series and the BUlls are hardly uncatchable but tonight the Celtics are going to have to come out with a sense of urgency. This is the game Isiah Thomas has to win for the Celts. If the Bulls find a way to limit Thomas when it matters and hold their huge edge on the boards the Bulls could steal another one. The Celts are at home. They have more to lose. Chowderheads W.

The Cavs' defence has no switch, it sucks.

If the rest of the East takes a collective dump and still lets Lebron cakewalk to the Finals, that team is going to give up 160 ppg against the Warriors and that is no joke.
