Casey doesn't let injury effect roles.

I do think the minutes will be more split. BB was averaging 16.9 mins off the bench. I can see with at around 22 min/G now and JV at 26 min/G. With who ever is having more impact on the game closing out.

Biyombo has earned that increase of minutes.
Casey doesn't let anything effect his predetermined roles.

JV should be getting at least 30 mpg at this stage of his career. JV should not be losing minutes to Biyombo at all.

Biyombo has played well but he is not near starter quality. Giving him too big a role would be a mistake, much like relying on Chuck Hayes or John Salmons too much.

I don't how 22 mins it big of a role when his been playing 30 mins for the last 17 games. Casey rewards players for good play. See how Ross has played more than Cojo last couple games. That's cause headband Ross has earned it. Same BB has earned 5 more minutes.

Where do those 5 minutes come from though? If they come from JV, who is clearly the better player, then it is a mistake.

If they come from a worse player or an over-worked player, then that is fine.

It's not as simple as adding 5 mins to Biyombo. He is effective with the starters because KL and DD are capable of scoring despite Biyombo's presence, but if Biyombo is playing more with other guys, they may struggle to score due to Biyombo's ineptitude on offence.

Still think JV will start for the rest of this season. Casey doesn't let injury effect roles. I do think the minutes will be more split. BB was averaging 16.9 mins off the bench. JV better come back with his A game. He struggled the last couple games before he got hurt I believe. Also Raps were only 8-6 with JV as a starter this year.
Oh look, the "respect the record" rhetoric is coming back.

JV is only superior on Offense. Their is no one on this team that can make a defensive impact like BB. In the 19 wins with have this year BB is averaging 25.3. JV wasn't even averaging 30 mins before he went down. I don't know why he would be averaging that now.

Because he should have been averaging 30 before?

He should be averaging that because he is a great post player and a capable defender.

Biyombo's defence is good but his offence is off the charts bad. JV is, overall, the far superior player.

BB is a very good defender. Arguably the best on the team. Stop selling him short. 22 mins is good for a defensive specialist of his caliber.

                      Why?
Because he had a team high +10 on-court net rating and Biyombo had a team low -7? Because he's a much better player than Biyombo? Because our coach plays our top guards and wings 35+ MPG but his best front court player 28 MPG?

Why is the team's overall defence at its worst with Biyombo in the floor than with anyone else if he is the best defender on the team?

I'm not selling anything, it's just what is.

Biyombo isn't a player who should be given big minutes and really can only work with certain player combinations to overcome the "Biyombo effect" on offence.

Opponents ORtg increases by 3 with Biyombo on the floor and our offence drops by 11 pts.
