SI.com released their top 25 under 25 yesterday and team mcHAPPY is pleased to announce 5 players on current roster making the cut:

    19. Nikola Vucevic, Magic, 24
    17. Giannis Antetokoumpo, Bucks , 20
    13. Rudy Gobert, Jazz , 23
    9. Klay Thompson, Warriors, 25
    7. Paul George, Pacers, 25

After a very disappointing 2014-15 season which brought about a forced rebuild, mcHAPPY front office officials believe they are going to be a contending team for years to come. Players who did not make the cut for top 25 under 25 but offer all sorts of potential include:

    Clint Capela, Rockets, 21
    Bruno Caboclo, Raptors, 20
    Willie Cauley-Stein, Kings, 22
    Alec Burks, Jazz, 24
    Myles Turner, Pacers, 19
    Cameron Payne, Thunder, 21
    John Henson, Bucks, 24
    Elfrid Payton, Magic, 21

mcHAPPY will look to Steph Curry and Jeremy Lin who both at 27 years are the elder statesmen on this young and improving team.

I might have asked this already, but when a player reaches 0 years left is that when you resign them again?

Yes, you can't resign a player until they reach zero.

In a follow up to yesterday's McCollum signing, team Axel has reached a 1 year deal with Anthony Bennett for the minimum. The new life PF is a long shot to crack the rotation but offers potential that could be realized with a more stable environment without the pressures of his draft pick status.

In a corresponding move, Axel has waived the 1 year guaranteed deal of PF/C Miles Plumlee.

Don't forget to post your years before 8pm EST.

                Season tips off tonight.

Have a look through cap sheet thread to make sure I have it right or did not miss your post.

If years aren't posted it will be assumed all 1 year contracts.

Sources confirm, Gortat does indeed sign for 3 year contract.

Powell was waived, and the team brought in veteran PG, Mo Williams, who they have signed to a 1 year deal

An announcement regarding Nemanja Bjelica can be expected later today.

                            After next year's draft, yes.

Just a good record to have - all things cap and asset related in same place.

I see no reason for them to be removed from the tracking sheet. At least not until the pick has been made.

Skywalkers Force is extremely excited about our most recent signing, Nemanja Bjelica, who just signed a 4 year deal. Drafted 5 years ago by the TWolves, he's been growing and developing his basketball skills. Bjelica was named the 2015 Euroleague MVP and his play is off the charts. He is ranked No. 1 in half-a-dozen categories. So what are others saying about him?

One writer had this to say about Bjelica,

"Bjelica is a flat-out stud. He’s averaging 11.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 27 minutes per game in the Euroleague – the top-tier competition outside the NBA."

According to a 2010 report from scout guru Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com, Bjelica – listed as a PG/SG/SF – is a point guard trapped in a power forward’s body.

One NBA scout at the recent Serbia-Spain game said, "Bjelica's a flat-out stud. Better than Mirotic. Knows how to play. Has a feel one can't teach."

One ex-NBA GM reflected on what might be a comparable NBA viewpoint for Bjelica: “Nikola Mirotic is doing well in Chicago. That probably makes guys like Bjelica think – ‘I know him, I played well against him. If he can do it, I can do it

Needless to say, we are thrilled that he's going to be here. He's going to a solid role player on this team for years to come. Welcome to the team, Nemanja Bjelica!
