Three year deal for Danny stinks in my opinion. He doesn't have much time left no matter the age, just compare the playoffs this year to his time with the Spurs a couple seasons ago. There's a significant decline, he's trending down. he gets three years then this time next year that Norm narrative in here from last offseason is playing out with Danny...

10 x 2 sounds reasonable for both parties imo

Pretty much everything rests on FA this year....
Come July 6 or 10 we get an idea of the landscape.....

Can the Bucks get both Lopez and Middleton back.. they will just match on Brogdon
Can the Raps get the Kwactus to sign a 1+1 or maybe even a 2year deal
Can Boston get any black athlete to sign up to play in the most racist intolerant city in the North East
Can the Nets get a Tier A free agent ... Irving makes it harder for them.... Durant or Tobias Harris or even Jimmy B is a better fit as they can reup Russell with their bird rights.
Can the Hinkies live with the luxury tax of two max deals for butler and harris and then carry simmons on an extension or do they pick one....

Its really going to be front office time during FA in the East...

1+1 positions him for another mega monster deal as he can command more of the cap percentage as a 10 year guy to pair up with his all NBA status
Its a risk though in that he could get hurt a la boogie and IT who lost at least a hundred mil....when they got hurt.

If he goes the safe route he signs up for 5 for 190M$ +
Thats money that can't be lost... its his....he could pull a russian hockey player and get fat and quit ... but ts still his..
Not that he would do that... but thats a done deal and no financial anaylsis says thats a poor choice.

Or maybe he does a hybrid.. signs the 5 year deal with an opt out in year 3 that if exercised terminates the final two years of his deal....
Not sure the CBA would allow that but its something that gives him a way out if he wants it...

The CBA does not allow this. Player options can only be in the final season of any contract.
