  • Look how loaded next year's class is. This kid is not even projected to go in the top 5 next year.

NBA Draft Room has him #2 behind Flagg now.

      BTW - what is PIR?
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

Not sure about that website. They have Bailey who's arguably the best player at #4....so ehhhh.

Just hammers home how 2025 draft is exact opposite of 2024 draft. There are so many great prospects it's hard to decide who will go number 1. Instead of zero great prospects so it's hard to decide who will go number 1.

Which should be why we tank this year. Trade Jak for picks and that should be enough IMO to get a top 10 pick. Probably closer to top 7.

That's not going to get it done. The only way this team fall off in the standings is if Barnes gets injured.

Nah. Barnes isn't a super star. We can still end up out of the play-in with Barnes playing 82 games. But if we had to use Kelly as our primary center our defense will be one of the worst in the league.. and our offense won't make up for that.

Does IQ want to sign a deal with a losing team if a contender comes calling? Does Scottie become disgruntled? Does RJ make improvements defensively with a team not trying to win?

What was the Raps record after the Barnes injury? they completely fell off.

If he didn't get hurt they probably would've caught the Hawks and the Bulls.

If I recall they did play pretty poorly with Poeltl out and Barnes still playing in January. They went something like 2-9. Poeltl is pretty key but that was also right after the trade so some adjustments needed.

                          • After what Raptors viewership and especially ticket holders were subjected to this past season, don't think MLSE has any appetite for a planned tank.
We're probably a lottery team anyway.

                            • I would prefer a big wing that can shoot at 19, Kyshawn, Pacome Dadiet (if he’s actually 6’8”) and Tyler Smith would fit the bill.

I would also be happy with Carrington, if they think he could eventually run the point, right now he’s more of a combo guard.

                              • I don't think the Raps can afford to not make a move this off season to add a significant piece. The either try and move up in the draft to nab a player they like or they do something aggressive at the start of free agency. I think all can agree that Scottie, IQ and RJ do not make a good championship core.
