Tbh, Marco at 6 mil a year isn't too terrible considering other contracts so far this summer. They needed shooting, and he's coming from the Spurs, so maybe it helps their locker room a little bit too.
It just looks bad in the general picture that they gave up Stauskas, a first round pick and potentially another two first round pick swaps to clear all the cap space. After sacrificing that much, they need to do something much bigger than this.
