I'm almost convinced that this year's nutty Lakers roster was assembled on purpose, specifically to generate enough drama for a reality show. Won't be the least bit surprised if we find out that Lebron's media company was given the rights to film all this stuff.

Lance, Javale, Rondo & Beasley, with LaVar Ball lurking in the background. C'mon.
It does feel somewhat intentional, lol. They grabbed every misfit they could think of.

Sadly, the Wizards are employing the same strategy....but doing so unknowingly.

Without defending Brooks, the GM is the guy that got them in this mess.
If we knew half as much about coaching an NBA team as we think, we"d know twice as much as we do.

        • Celtics have had the hardest schedule of all teams based on SOS. Should get into a groove with a soft schedule coming up.

Bucks on the other hand have some tough road games coming up including games in Golden State and Denver.

Boston will probably get that 2nd seed sooner than later.

          • Toronto has effortlessly incorporated Kawhi Leonard into a deep and talented roster. Mike Budenholzer has buoyed Milwaukee from the bench while GM Jon Horst’s strong offseason has surrounded Giannis Antetokounmpo with shooters. Privately, some Celtics officials have wondered if it will be possible to keep pace with Toronto in the regular season.

Mahinmi is their 4th highest salary, and he's got 2 straight DNP-CDs, lmao.

Next year.... Grunfeld has tied up 90M$ in 3 guys.. Wall/Beal/Porter.
90% of his theoretical budget is dedicated to only 3 guys when you need 9 to play on a nightly basis...

                  6 guys and 10M$....
Theres an adage that says if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
The Wiz are in a serious spot.

Its a soft cap you say... Yes.
But do you really want to extend $$$ to guys who have been part of such a bad team for so long....

The GM Grunfeld fired Randy Wittman..
He will most likely have to fire Scott Brooks... but he wont be around to fire the 3rd guy.

There's no such thing as a 2nd round bust.

Brooks should be fired. He's loyal to his players and they play hard for him, until now. But he's generally rigid in his approach, terrible at adjustments and doesn't always hold his players accountable. Sound familiar? Yep. Brooks is the mirror image of the old Dwane Casey, except that he doesn't have a high BBIQ PG like Lowry and an elite GM like Masai to bail him out.

I hope Grunfeld keeps his job forever... because nobody needs to see those.

Wall didn't play hard for him for last year either. 2nd yr in a row Wall is among the league leaders in "walking or standing" when he doesn't have the ball.

Brooks is still owed like $20+ million over 3 years. That's a tough pill to swallow for a team already bleeding money.

                              Easily my favourite NBA stat.
