None of those guys really interests me.

    Lee is an inconstent shooter.

Casspi is a terrible shooter. McLemore is meh. Morris from i've heard suffered a spinal injury or somethi g.

The Hawks the other day said that they're not waiving anynof their veteran players.

So there's not a lot of options.
But at least just insurance in case one of the rotation guys goes down or in “load management”. The obvious pressing need is three point shooting especially now that Miles is gone (though was in the negative when he was here). Knowing that both Ellington and Wes are going somewhere else is deflating. Second need is a back up to the back up PG so both Lin and McLemore can probably fill that void.

Not many to choose from but Masai has to fill those open roster spots.

The thinking is that, going to the playoffs the rotation becomes tighter so any of those acquisitions may see limited minutes except the spot of the three point shooter who can spread the floor which can be useful when defenses are more compact post 82.

We all hope that our rotation guys stays healthy so we all can enjoy this run

I like giving miller a 10 day. If he shows the same game as he did last year i say convert him to a full contract. Stauskas looks like the best shooter out their now so pick him up. That leave a spot for a 3rd string PG and a big.
Tedosic would be a good get if he want to stay in North America for the next couple months before returning to europe to finish his career, As for the big its a tough one certainly lots of servicable guys out there, Zbo and gortat would be my first pick. Markieef is probably the best player available i just dont want the baggage that comes with him..

I also think they need a Point-Guard big time. Lowry and Freddy can be brittle and if we lose one of them to injury we're in trouble.

    Should go get Teodosic
Yep. You need 1 extra PG and 1 extra big in case of injury. A combo guard and 4/5 who can rebound would be nice, in addition to the proverbial 3-pt gunslinger.

Robyn Lopez or Marcin Gortat - 3rd big, savvy and reliable when one of the bigs goes down

Markieff Moris - back up PF (risk due to history but heard he’s a good friend of Kyle), has a decent stroke from outside who can stretch the floor. He can be the bad guy for a contender.

Omri Casspi - another scorer (36% career beyond 22 ft)

Wayne Ellington - dead eye shooter, Raptors are desperate to have one

Courtney Lee - another scorer and had played with Marc in the past

Jeremy Lin or Ben Mclemore - both can play the PG or SG position

Sure to play the cj miles 11th guy role..but I'd prefer basketball players over specialists. Hes a glorified Brady heslip
Lots of slim pickings now for shooters.

Lots of nice bigs though: Kanter, Gortat, Lopez, ZBO.

With Ellington out.. how about Sauce?

Only 34.4% from 3 this year, but shot 40% last year.

44.8% on wide open 3's.. and he'll get plenty of those opportunities on Toronto.

    Bring him home?

I'm a fan of Malcolm Miller. Loved what i saw from his last year. He would've been a rotation player this year if not for the injury. Glad that hes back and healthy.

As for the buy out market - there's not a lot out there. They need a big and a couple more shooters.

And yet Cleveland and golden state had no problem with end of bench guys signing the last 4 years..the "ring chasers"

I guess those teams were guaranteed finalists whereas we're in an absolute dogfight
Those ring chasers are usually pretty washed. Useful guys like Bellinelli and Ilyasova went to Philly for playing time last year and they got lots of it. It helped them both get multi-year contracts.

He can be as aggressive as he wants, players make their own choice and both of them went to non-contenders.
Same narrative (not you) but some stating that Masai will stand pat because trades may not be available. Next thing we know, he was more than just counting his gray hair in front of a mirror.

Masai is not you and me, he has clout with some of these players. Its a matter of how aggressive he is convincing them to join the Raptors title run

    Ugh...

Matthews and Ellington are the kind of players who would perfectly fit the Raptors system. Not good news.

Hopefully the ones left and available would prefer the Raptors with aspirations for a title run vs. their playing time in preparation for their next contract.

Masai stated that he would be aggressive in pursuing players from the BO, he is on clock.

But given the sudden depletion of the roster, you'd think some playing time would be on the table.
Yeah but you can't get starting minutes in Toronto. You can in Indiana and Detroit.
